ACPT Business of the Year
ACPT was selected as the 2005 Charles County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year at the business organization’s annual President’s gala ball and dinner dance in January. ACPT, the developer of St. Charles as well as the leading provider of rental housing in Charles County, was honored with the Reed W. Was the major donor for the construction of the St. Charles Children’s Learning Center at the College of Southern Maryland.
Contributed more than $50,000 to local charitable and service organizations, including American Red Cross, United Way, St. Charles Bears, the Port Tobacco Players, Civista Medical Center, and many, many more.
Awarded the Charles County Economic Development Division Partner for Progress Award.
“We are very proud of our Company’s history of supporting business, charitable, and civic organizations that join with us in providing a high quality of life for the residents of our communities,” said Edwin L. Kelly, President and Chief Operating Officer, in accepting the award. “Building successful communities, neighborhoods, and businesses requires teamwork and vision.
